Suspension Technician at NSDynamics

Company Overview: NSDynamics is a leading service provider in the mountain bike industry, specialising in suspension servicing, tuning, and aftermarket sales. We are currently on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic technician to join our dynamic service department.

Position Description: As a Suspension Technician at NSDynamics, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring top-notch service and performance for our clients' bikes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Service & Repair: Maintain and repair mountain bike suspension systems, including front forks, rear shocks, and dropper posts.
  • Setup & Configuration: Reconfigure and set up new suspension units pre-delivery, including travel changes, stroke changes, spring and mounting hardware installs, base setups, race preps, and fitting to complete bikes.
  • Installation: Remove and install suspension units from complete bikes.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor service kits, spare parts, oils, and workshop supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Workplace Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining a clean, tidy, healthy, and happy workplace.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical Skills: Experience with mountain bike technology and a reasonable understanding of suspension systems.
  • Learning Ability: Willingness and ability to learn on the job, with full training provided.
  • Computer Skills: Basic skills necessary for parts interpretation, understanding manuals, using spreadsheets, emails, and point of sale systems.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and understanding.
  • Customer Focus: Commitment to customer satisfaction and a great work ethic.
  • Passion for Mountain Biking: Enthusiasm for mountain biking, regular riding, and a good knowledge of bikes and suspension systems.
  • Industry Experience: Beneficial but not essential.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team.

Customer Service / Administrator at NSDynamics

About Us: NSDynamics is a leading service provider in the mountain bike industry specialising in suspension servicing, tuning, and aftermarket sales. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to handle front-of-house and day-to-day admin duties within our business.

Position Description: As our Customer Service / Administrator, you'll be the first point of contact for our retail and trade customers, managing the receiving and dispatching of all suspension service work and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Work Management: Receive service work, attach appropriate service documents, and package/send completed service work back.
  • Invoicing & Payments: Invoice service work, process payments, and discuss completed work with customers and shops.
  • Sales Processing: Invoice, process payments, and send goods sold, including complete suspension units, spare parts, and accessories.
  • Customer Service: Handle emails, phone calls, walk-in customers, and social media messaging.
  • Inventory Management: Receive goods from suppliers and book them into the stock system.
  • Warranty Claims: Enter warranty claim forms with manufacturers.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Quick Learner: Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
  • Computer Proficiency: Experience with spreadsheets, Shopify, websites, and social media.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work efficiently without mistakes.
  • Team Player: Willingness to participate in a team environment.

 

Desirable Attributes:

  • Passion for Mountain Biking: A good knowledge of bikes and suspension systems will be a benefit.
  • Industry Experience: Helpful but not essential.
