The Onyx DC is DVO’s offering for downhill and heavy enduro riding. It offers all the same external adjustment and race-proven internals as DVO’s other top-end forks but with a stiffer 36mm chassis the Onyx DC is DVO’s top of the line downhill fork built to eat up the biggest terrain without a problem. One feature that makes the Onyx DC unique from the rest of the DVO range is its AVA (Advanced Volume Adjust) feature. The AVA unit sits at the top of the air spring and allows the rider to alter the height of the air piston. In conjunction with DVO’s OTT feature this gives you total control over your mid and end-stroke support.
Setting the Onyx DC apart from its competition is DVO’s proprietary OTT or ‘Off The Top’ adjustment. This lets the rider fine tune how the initial stroke/breakaway of the fork feels by compressing the coil negative spring to your liking, all without compromising mid/end stroke support. The Onyx DC damper also offers up a broad external high and low speed compression adjustment, as well as low speed rebound adjustment. In our experience this is one of the best and most bombproof dampers on the market today.
